Pets of the Week Torque and Misty

This week’s SCHS Pets of the Week are Torque and Misty! To make an appointment to meet them, call us at 608-356-2520.

Say hello to Torque, a one-year-old black lab/terrier mix with a gaze so warm it could thaw the coldest day. He joined our shelter after his family faced unexpected health challenges, but this hasn’t dampened his spirits. Torque is the full package—looks and brains. He’s mastered commands like ‘come,’ ‘sit,’ ‘stay,’ and ‘lie down.’ Though his enthusiasm means he might tug on the leash during walks, he soon calms down. Torque loves his playtime, especially if it involves chasing balls. He’s the life of any party, always ready to socialize and impress with his good manners. Ideally, he would thrive in a cat-free home and might do best in a household with older children who can match his size and energy. Ready to let Torque steal your heart? Torque is up to date on his vaccinations and will be neutered prior to adoption.

Misty, our wonderful tabby cat of the week, is every cat lover’s dream. This one-year-old female was found as a stray, but she’s quickly adapted to the comforts of indoor life. She’s a total lap cat, finding joy and comfort in cuddling up close to anyone willing to offer a warm lap. Misty is not only easy to pick up and carry but also thrives on affection, purring contentedly while she enjoys some quality lap time. When she’s out with our cat socializers, she prefers to sit on their laps, purring away and occasionally pausing to give herself a little bath. Quiet and calm, she’s simply perfect for someone looking for a loving companion. Misty is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.

Cat and dog adoptions include the spay or neuter surgery, a microchip, and current vaccinations. Please visit our available animals page to view all of our adoptable animals.
