This week’s SCHS Pets of the Week are Tyson and Jane! To make an appointment to meet them, call us at 608-356-2520.
Tyson has been growing up in the shelter, and at just 10 months old, he’s more than ready to find a home of his own. This sweet heeler/lab mix is full of energy and curiosity, always up for a walk, a game of fetch, or just some good ol’ belly rubs. He’s working hard on his training—he’s already got “sit” and “come” down—and he’s doing a great job keeping his kennel clean, which tells us he’s well on his way to being housebroken. Tyson would love an active home where he can keep learning and get plenty of playtime. He’s okay with cats and could do well with other dogs, depending on the match. He’s still a puppy at heart, so patience, love, and structure will go a long way. In return, you’ll get a loyal best friend who’s always happy to see you. He is up to date on his vaccinations and will be neutered upon adoption.
Jane has been through a lot in her short life, but you’d never guess it by how sweet she is. This lovely black kitty came from a hoarding situation where things got overwhelming, but she’s now enjoying the quieter life she deserves. At 2 years old, Jane is calm, gentle, and absolutely adores human attention. She’ll melt into your lap for brushing sessions and reward you with the loudest, happiest purrs. When she’s not curled up beside you, you’ll find her batting around toys or giving the scratching post a workout. Jane’s looking for a home where she can soak up love, feel safe, and finally settle in for good. She’s the kind of cat that makes a house feel like home. She is up to date on her vaccinations and will be spayed prior to adoption.
Cat and dog adoptions include the spay or neuter surgery, a microchip, and current vaccinations. Please visit our available animals page to view all of our adoptable animals.
