This week’s SCHS Pets of the Week are Luther and Gladys! To make an appointment to meet them, call us at 608-356-2520.
Luther may be small in size, but he’s got a heart that’s working hard to trust and love again. This 5-year-old Chihuahua mix came to us as a stray, unsure of the world—but he’s made big strides since then. He’s gentle, quiet, and has a calm presence that makes him a great fit for apartment life or a cozy home. Luther already knows a few commands like sit and shake, and he walks great on a leash. His favorite things? Belly rubs and a soft spot to relax. He gets along with other mellow dogs and should do fine with cats. Luther would do best in a quieter home with older kids where he can continue to bloom at his own pace. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.
Gladys is one of those cats who instantly makes you smile. She’s calm, gentle, and always ready to greet you with a soft meow and curious eyes. Just a year old, this sweet tabby was surrendered with another cat when her owner’s life changed—but she’s taking it all in stride. She greets visitors at the front of her kennel with a soft purr and happy eyes, always hoping for a treat or a cuddle. Gladys enjoys attention and doesn’t mind being picked up for snuggles. Wand toys and scratching posts are her go-to fun. She’s more than ready to find her fur-ever home. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.
Cat and dog adoptions include the spay or neuter surgery, a microchip, and current vaccinations. Please visit our available animals page to view all of our adoptable animals.
